The Film: Top Gun

The amazing 1980s Top Gun is a star-studded and visually stimulating sensation that entertains with its innovating aerial sequences and succeeds splendidly as a big-screen spectacle thanks to a memorable soundtrack and an overall premise that still holds today, alongside a charismatic and charming cast.

The Top Gun Naval Fighter Weapons School is where the best of the best train to refine their elite flying skills. When hotshot fighter pilot Maverick (Tom Cruise) is sent to the school, his reckless attitude and cocky demeanour put him at odds with the other pilots, incredibly the cool and collected Iceman (Val Kilmer).

But Maverick isn't only competing to be the top fighter pilot; he's also fighting for the attention of his beautiful flight instructor, Charlotte Blackwood (Kelly McGillis).

It’s an 80s classic that still delivers as big a punch as the year it was released; it’s a truly timeless classic.

It’s a film not to miss in a location you must see it at.
