Outdoor cinema at Michelham Priory House & Gardens

The UK’s longest-running independent Outdoor Cinema provider comes to Michelham Priory House & Gardens

About Michelham Priory House & Gardens

Welcome to Michelham Priory & Gardens, set on a picturesque moated Island, England’s longest medieval water-filled moat at that. This picturesque island offers 800 years of history and was founded by Augustinian canons in 1229; the site is steeped in history.

During Tudor times, the site suffered destruction caused by the dissolution of the monasteries, and in World War Two, it was home to evacuees and the Canadian Army. Explore 800 years of history at Michelham Priory House and Gardens, set on a picturesque moated island.

Outdoors, there are seven acres of beautiful grounds and buildings to explore, including the Elizabethan Great Barn, medieval gatehouse and kitchen, and physical and medieval herb gardens.

Attendees will be able to explore the gardens and for a small additional fee, be able to explore inside the house itself. It’s the perfect venue and backdrop for some summer outdoor cinema screenings as part of our 14th season of Films under the Stars. Discover more about this venue by clicking here.
