A Festive Night Out — Cinema in Candlelight
Experience Christmas on the big screen, inside the magnificent 18th-century St Swithun’s Church. We’re back for our second year transforming the stunning church into a warm, glowing theatre for two magical nights.

Join us for the Christmas favourite film in a breathtaking venue. For a night you’ll never forget.

This Christmas, experience one of the world’s most-watched festive films with a twist. Home Alone, the hilarious, chaotic, heart-filled story of Kevin McCallister defending his house (and Christmas) from two hopeless burglars, comes to life on the big screen in the stunning St Swithun’s Church.

Expect laughter, nostalgia and festive cheer in a candle-lit 18th-century setting that transforms a classic movie night into something magical. Bring your friends, family, or your favourite festive jumper; this is Christmas cinema at its most unforgettable.

Experience it the way it should be seen, beneath church arches, candlelight flickering, Christmas lights sparkling… It’s a truly magical affair.

This one-of-a-kind event brings classic holiday films to life in an extraordinary and truly historic setting. It’s a festive celebration not to be missed!

The Film: HOME ALONE

An eight-year-old troublemaker, mistakenly left home alone, must defend his home against a pair of burglars on Christmas Eve.

When bratty 8-year-old Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) acts out the night before a family trip to Paris, his mother (Catherine O'Hara) makes him sleep in the attic. After the McCallisters mistakenly leave for the airport without Kevin, he awakens to an empty house and assumes his wish to have no family has come true. But his excitement sours when he realises that two con men (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern) plan to rob the McCallister residence, and that he alone must protect the family home.

It’s a Christmas film favourite that simply brings the holidays to life and gets you in the holiday mood.
